SnapKnot.com is an online directory which allows engaged couples to search for wedding photographers by location, budget, and visual style. Photographers pay monthly memberships to be listed on the site, showcase their portfolios, and gain new clients. As a small business with limited resources SnapKnot was looking for effective ways to increase awareness, and generate photographer leads and memberships.
SnapKnot teamed up with Social Contests to create an exciting giveaway with a high value prize targeted towards the professional wedding photographer community: A choice of two high-end cameras valued at $3,000 each. The contest was able to increase both facebook fans and email subscribers significantly through a like-gate and entry form--requiring user to provide valuable information such as email address. SnapKnot also included a limited time offer coupon on the final page of their campaign to encourage new users to sign up for a free trial membership to their services.
